Welcome back, today I’m attempting my first quilt. I will be creating a single block each month of the year to create 12 unique blocks using the same fabrics to tie the design together. I will be using free block patterns so if you want to follow along, you can! This month I am creating the Star of Virginia block using the tutorial by Katie Blakesley of SwimBikeQuilt. You can find all the materials I used to create it down below.

To see all blocks from this project follow the tag: Year of Blocks

Products Used:

For the Star of Virginia, I used yellow chevron, a gray on white pattern, and green batik fabrics from the following packs. The rest of the packs featured have additional fabrics that will appear in future blocks. See video for details.
